Side Push-Up
Differentiation: Mechanics
This variation of an advanced Push-Up is unique. Here is how: you lay on your side with one arm supporting you on the floor | and push your body upward from a side position. You also you perform reps using one arm for a full set, | then switch positions to your other side. Working individual sides allows you to focus on each inner chest muscle individually.
Location: Anywhere

Starting Position
To get into starting position, do this...
1) Locate an area of the gym with ample floor space to perform the exercise.
2) Place a padded exercise mat on the floor.
3) Lie sideways on the exercise mat...
4) ...with your ankles together
5) Bend your right elbow and place your right hand on the floor in front of your chest.
Main Mechanics
Once in starting position, do this...
1) This is the starting position.
2) Exhale as you push your upper body off the floor...
3) ...until your supporting arm is straight.
4) Hold this position for a count of one second.
5) This is the ending position.
6) Return to the starting position.
7) Repeat reps for a full set.
8) Then, turn onto your other side and repeat, using the other hand.

Pay special attention to following proper form by...
Keep your head and neck straight when moving your upper body.
