How To Do a Wrestling Cardio Workout

Step-by-step Instructions

Here is what you need to do...
Step 1

Honestly, you really do not need much of anything. Just a track, football field, and some bleachers/risers and you're good to go.

Step 2

Once there do a warm-up lap or two around the track then stretch out. Your workout will be a total of 8 laps around the track (2 miles) and in between each lap you run up and down every section of the risers that has steps (generally a stadium should have 3-5 depending on size of the school). The object is the complete the entire workout in the shortest amount of time possible.

Step 3

After you finish phase 1, phase 2 is going to be at least 20 sprints on the track or field of 60 meters with a maximum of 20 second break in between each sprint.

When did you first do this & how did you get started?

My first wrestling cardio workout ever outside of actual practice was back in 8th grade. It was when I decided to really take the sport more seriously so branched out and did extra work on my own.
