Male Models Sometimes Sneak Into Photography Locations
|
It is not always possible or smart to ask permission from a property owner before shooting a quick photo at a location. Sometimes locations are unplanned and the photo crew notices a perfect location but no time is available to obtain permission from the property owner. Sometimes a location can be used very quickly. a photo shoot can be finished in a a short period and the crew can be on their way to the next location. Often a photo shoot can be created within a short enough time that nobody notices a photo crew was present.
For example, the crew creatively used an unattended locked mountain bike as an impromptu prop for Scott Keilin's male modeling photo on a Put-in-Bay boat dock.
Why Not Ask Permission?
Most property owners are not motivated to respond quickly to requests. They often blow off requests to use their property.
When some property owners hear "photo shoot", they think our photo crew will show up with an elaborate setup: multiple trucks, massive lighting equipment. (Ironically, it is logistically easier for us to keep our photo shoots bare bones - with very few crew - especially because we work with new male models who may prefer the fewest people be present at their shoot.) When a property owner gives permission, he thinks of liability and insurance and all that.
Therefore, sometimes Campus Men male models have found themselves sneaking onto photo locations - so they can obtain an awesome backdrop.
College Guys Who Snuck Into Locations to Capture Their Photos
Bridge Over Lake Erie
A photographer saw a swaying 6-foot wide foot bridge in a lakeside quarry yard that would be perfect for a photo shoot. The bridge spanned a section of Lake Erie where marble was loaded onto barges by a conveyor belt. No foreman at the quarry would ever say yes to a modeling photo shoot, so the photo crew waited until workers left before sneaking onto a bridge to photograph Jon O'Donnel. The crew and model had to walk along a long dusty conveyor belt to get to the bridge. With quarry workers gone for the day, the crew held their shoot and captured awesome photos.
Dodging Guard Dogs
Jim Fishpaw, Lance Evans and crew had to sneak into a scrap metal junk yard for their photo shoots. During the middle of the shoot, the crew began hearing barking. The junkyard was protected by guard dogs!
Abandoned Auto Plant
Our male model photographer found an optimum location for photo shoots at the abandoned Columbus Auto Parts plant. The closed factory was littered with rusted metal, dilapidated buildings and lots of neat stuff that lent character to photos. To gain access to the site, our male model photographer and male models had to squeeze through a padlocked gate. The photographer held shoots with four male models there, capturing incredible poses. Since the site provided privacy, male models felt comfortable posing nude. But a few months later, imagine our male model photographer's surprise when he read a story in The Columbus Dispatch announcing that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had declared the site polluted with toxic chemicals.
Interrupted
Accordingly, sometimes property owner ask a photo crew to get lost. The models and photo crew get interupted and asked to leave a photo shoot location. The shoot ends, and the crew must find another place to shoot.
