Modeling agencies in small modeling markets hire photographers based in Los Angeles and New York to visit their city and photograph models at a mass photo session.
Some modeling agencies may fly in a male model photographer from a major market such as New York or Los Angeles to impress naive young guys who want to model. The modeling agency pays the photographer $25 - $100 to photograph multiple male models. However, the agency charges the male model $400-$450 for the photo shoot.
No Special Attention to Any One Model
No single model receives much attention when being with many other models. Male models are hurriedly photographed with a dozen or more other guys during a short period of time.
