Early morning shoots allow photographers to capture incredible sunrises. However, they require models to wake up and get out of bed very, very early! Morning shoots are also needed when a model needs privacy, such as in this photo, where a model posed totally nude at sunrise.
Brent's shoot was scheduled on the roof of a houseboat in Key West at sunrise. The houseboat was chosen because it offered an awe-inspiring view of the sunrise.
Brent woke at 4:15 AM so he could jog around the island before his shoot. This prevented his face from appearing sleepy in his photo. Jogging before a shoot is one preparation tip we suggest for models.
The crew arrived at the houseboat at 5AM. They set up equipment, had Brent lay on the houseboat roof and waited for the sun to rise. Then the sun started to rise and the photographer snapped off a bunch of photos.
Early morning shoots are tough. During the shoot, the staff was walking around like zombies because they were half asleep. They did not notice when wind blew a light reflector off the roof and into the ocean.
