Front Raise and Pullover

Differentiation: Mechanics

This variation of a chest pullover is unique. Here is how: you use your front deltoids | to lift the bar backwards until it is behind your head. Then you use your chest | to pull the bar forward until it is at back at your waist. Each repetition works your shoulder | and chest muscles. You also perform this exercise on a flat bench. The bench creates an angle where your chest and delts can be worked simultaneously.

To get into starting position, do this...

5) If you use an Olympic bar, add a barbell collar to each end of the bar to keep the plates in place. If the plates slip off the bar during the movement you could injure yourself.
