Male Model Rushes To Create Popular Photo Before Storm
|
Only a miracle allowed Eddie Marshall's photo shoot to happen. The photographer and Eddie planned a tropical theme with a machete and coconuts. So, the photographer borrowed 300 coconuts from a local produce distributor to use as props for a shoot planned at a beach at Alum Creek Park in Ohio. The photographer had no idea what he would have Eddie do with the coconuts and chose to decide once they arrived at the shoot.
Unfortunately, as soon as the photo crew arrived at the beach, a dark storm cloud rapidly approached the beach.
Raindrops began to fall as they set up lights. So, the crew quickly dumped the 100 coconuts onto the sand. Eddie asked the photographer what he should wear. There was no time to plan a pose or choose something to wear. So, the photographer hurriedly told Eddie to wear nothing and to simply cover his penis with coconuts.
Eddie knew he was on his own with posing. Darkness began to fall on the beach. With little time left, Eddie ran over to the coconuts, stripped off his clothes, got onto his knees onto the sand and piled coconuts in front of his crotch.
The photographer quickly snapped several photos as Eddie tried various poses as thunder could be heard in the distance and it rained more and more
The shoot lasted only a few minutes. By the time the last photo was captured, the crew and model were in the middle of a thunderstorm.
The entire crew was drenched from head to toe as they bolted back to their car in the parking lot, photo equipment in hand.
"Ironically the coconut photo ended up being a very popular and controversial photo," said the photographer. "A store owner complained about it in a newspaper article."
People either loved the photo or hated the coconut shot. Most got a kick out of it and thought the photographer put a lot of planning into the photo. They had no idea the photo was created in a few minutes as rain began to fall.
Little Known Fact
This shoot was Eddie's second photo shoot. Eddie had traveled to Florida for a shoot. Eddie wanted another photo shoot after he returned from the trip, but the photographer did not expect the second shoot would produce photos better than those created in Florida.
