How to Become a Male Model

I believe in modeling, it's just like anything else: if you sit around and wait for it to happen, it probably won't happen. If you want it bad enough, you'll go get it. I am a believer in move your feet if you want it to happen.

I came from a very small town, in the middle of Ohio, you know, a coal mining town and I thought I wanted to be on the cover of magazines or in magazines, whatnot. And when I moved to Columbus, I thought this was the big city, which is not like New York or Los Angeles, or whatnot. But, I just thought I'd come here, look good and somebody would put me in a magazine.

But it does not work that way. If you really want it, you've got to go get it.

I sent my stuff out about every other week, to everybody that would possibly look at. And guess what? Eventually, I did get callbacks. When I got the e-mail from Bodybuilding dot com that said I was going to be in every major muscle magazine and a full page ad, I almost fell off my chair.

You know, I got paid $500 for the shoot, but the exposure that I got from that magazine, I was one of the only drug-free guys in Flex Magazine. Which was amazing to me. Exposure was just phenomenal.

So, you've got to move your feet. If you want it, if you want anything in life, you've got to get it. It doesn't just come to you.

If you have a large amount of muscularity and want to appear in a muscle magazine, we encourage you to promote yourself and making contacts in the industry, just like Cory did it. You can begin doing this by getting qualified to become a Campus Man. Becoming a Campus Man starts you on the road of promoting yourself, and building a group of people who become your Fans. The influential people who you will later seek to choose you as their next muscle magazine model or for the next supplement sponsorship contract will see the fanbase you've built by becoming a Campus Man. You can show influential people all the Fans you have gathered as a Campus Man.
