I'd really like to tell the guys who are out there, who are in between whether they want to have more muscle or they don't want to put the body fat on to mess with their abs while they're trying to get lean.

If you're doing a drug-free, I believe I really believe that you have to gain some body fat to put on some muscle, that's just my opinion. It's really worked out well for me.

Always know that you can get back down - that's not the issue.

Doing cardio all the time, think about a marathon runner. A marathon runner looks flat, looks thin and their muscles' lean.

Think about a sprinter. Sprinters look dense, they look thick. It's because of the short bursts. It's because of the strength.

It's a lot different, if you're running yourself on a treadmill for an hour and a half a day, you're going to look lean, but you're going to look flat. You want your muscle to look around and dense, that's the key that I think. And I'd rather do less cardio more intensely, going to my lean phase and just eat good, which is really the key to keeping both in good balance.
