Reasons Guys Should visit Rio

If there ever was a place that you shouldn't need a reason to visit, Rio de Janeiro would be one of them. But for those who are anal about such things I will give you a few reasons why you should check this place out before you die.

I had always wanted to go to Rio since I first saw a special about it on TV when I was a young teen. Even at that age I was in love exotic looking women and exotic places. This desire was strengthed even more after seeing the movies "Blame it on Rio" and "Wild Orchid". I knew somehow I had to get down there to experience that place for myself.

For starters the natural beauty of Brazil and the city of Rio de Janeiro is astounding. The Amazon Rainforest has to be one of the most lush and scenic tropical areas in the world. There are all kinds of species of animals and many varieties of plantlife. Even if you are not an outdoor type, such as myself, a visit to this area would be well worth your time if only for taking some pictures of the scenery.

There are the one of a kind tourist attractions such as The Jesus Statue, the outlying islands, and Sugarloaf mountain. There are many cultural attractions you can check out and plenty shops, malls and boutiques you can visit to purchase goods for yourself and others.

The city of Rio itself has plenty of greenery which compliments it's beautiful beaches. Everyone on the planet has heard about the women which occupy Rio's beaches and I will comment on that in a minute. If you are into beaches then Rio is your spot, the most popular us Copacabana which is the one you normally see when Rio is shown on TV or in movies. It is a very large beach the runs the length of Atlantica Ave, Rio's main strip that is lined with hotels, condos and high end apartments. On weekends it is packed with families but the babe factor was still quite high, and yes they all wear thongs! A word of warning, not every thong bikini sighting is a good one, you will also see middle aged and old ladies wearing them also so be prepared.

Around the corner from Copacabana Beach is Ipanema. It is less crowded but still very popular. The rock formation on the north end of it separates it from Copacabana and it also is lined with buildings, mostly apartments and condos. There are several others in the city but these two are the most famous and if you're wanting to see pretty people make your way to one of them.

For those who are into the Club and Bar scene, Rio has a variety of places from quiet cafe's to all out dance clubs that close when the sun rises. They love American hip hop music there but you can find all kinds of beats to get off on. The women tend to dance with each other but have no problems if you decide to jump in the mix, just be prepared to dance because they don't like wall flowers!

Of course as I mentioned earlier, Brazilian women are world famous for their beauty. I've been to many parts of the world but nowhere have I seen such strikingly beautiful women complete with fabulous bodies and charming personalities. It is possible to fall in love several times a day while people watching in Rio. You won't find too many natural blondes in Rio but that doesn't bother me since I'm into the dark haired exotic looking females.

You would think all of these women would be taken but there are a good number who you meet in the bars and clubs that are single. They are there to meet International travelers and just want to hang out with someone who will show them a good time (dinner and drinks). Of course there are many other women who will show you a good time for the right price and they too are some of the most beautiful babes you will come across. These good time girls know their place and purpose and have no problem with rocking your world for a night and then getting the heck out Dodge when you want them to. If you see her the next night she will hug and kiss you while she introduces you to her girlfriend and they will both offer to be your friend that night. They don't how handsome you are, what kind of car you drive, what your job title is, the fact you are down there is impressive enough for them.

One of the best things about Rio used to be the nice exchange rate. The dollar at current is declining in strength but just a couple years ago it was about 4 to 1 and Americans could live like royalty. It was just under 2 to 1 on my last trip, still good but not great. The going rate was about 100 Real so to us that was $25.00 and we're talking all night. Now be prepared to pay 100 to 150 Real, which translate to about 60 to 85 bucks, still a bargain but not like the good old days.

Basically Rio is just one heck of a good time, the weather is always warm, the food is excellent, they run on Central time so jet lag is not a factor, the love Americans down there, and since tourism is a big part of their economy, there are special Police to insure Tourists safety. I've been there six times and have never had a problem. If you want to visit a place where you can live like a Rock Star, go to Rio and don't hold back.
