Late Arrival into Ecuador

I got into town really late last night due to the airport being closed for bad weather and my flight had to circle and later divert to a neighboring city for some fuel before returning here to Quito. Since it was so late by the time I got to my hotel (2:15am) I opted not to hit any clubs, just ordered some room service and chilled out watching some TV until I fell asleep.

I'm actually down here for some business this time, I'm supposed to shoot with Fernanda, a really cute girl I met here at the Hotel Mercure right when I checked out the last time I was here. She told me she was a Model so I quickly gave her my card, got her information and contacted her when I got back to the states a few days later (I stopped in Panama City, Panama on the way back).

I rented a nice penthouse suite here at the Mercure since I couldn't get the regular standard room for the entire stay, since it was only seven dollars more (with my nice discount) I went with the big room. Fernanda told me when I called her earlier today that she wasn't allowed in guest rooms since she worked here so hopefully I can shoot with one of her friends or another girl here in Quito who wants to shoot with me tomorrow.

H2 Starting the Day

Once I was up today I had lunch at some place down the street that had Chinese food, it wasn't bad and for $4.50 you couldn't beat the price. I picked up some postcards before hitting an internet cafŽ to send some mail back home to my boy JDR who couldn't make this trip.

Now I am sitting in the suite working on my laptop and waiting to hear back from Fernanda. The last time we spoke she said she and her two friends were going to the salon to get their hair done and should be ready around 1:30pm. It is now 3:30 pm and I have not heard back so I'm getting a little worried. I called and left a voicemail so hopefully she will respond. I don't think she is the type to flake out (no call no show) since she was so enthusiastic about shooting.
