Why SWOSU Rocks Video

Inside This Video

The final runner up in the "Why My School Rocks" contest, these guys "rap" about why their college, SWOSU rocks.  Kind of.

What we like about this Video

-There's really not much to say here.  You can use garage band...congratulations?

Maybe Next time.

-Did the judges even try with this thing?  This video has two stars on youtube (an very low rating...believe me, I watch a lot of these things).  Did they just grab at random for their runner up?  Or had they never seen a movie with "rapping" before?

-There is no point to the video, it says nothing about the college, which is the intention of this video.

-Maybe I should have entered the contest.  I could have been a runner up.

Why Babson Rocks Video

Inside This Video

A runner up in the "Why My School Rocks" contest, this video describes why Babson College rocks.  A unique way of filmmaking, the guys show you just about everything on campus, very quickly, and at night.

What we like about this Video

-It's a unique idea, showing it all at night, with flashlights.

-Some of the lines are genuinely funny, like the ones about the bike and tree.

-So random, it works at times.

Maybe Next time.

-Not really great quality.  A few times you could hear "okay, go" from the director.  The camera also clicked a lot.

-It appears that this movie was thrown together last minute, to meet a deadline.

Why Biola Rocks Video

Inside This Video

The US News and World Report put together a panel of judges for Youtube's "Why My School Rocks" Contest.  This was the winning video, as chosen  by the panel.  It is for Biola College, and as described, explains why Biola College "rocks."

What we like about this Video

-It's very professionally done.  Great cinematography and editing.

-Awesome special effects, loved the football throw.

-Paints the school in a really positive light.

Maybe Next time.

-I have to say, I found it to be a little cheesy, and not really all that funny.

-Some of the students seemed really sarcastic in their interviews.

-It ran a little long, while it was professionally done, I'm surprised it was the winner.

Why BSU Rocks Video

Inside This Video

This is an entry in a video contest called "Why my school rocks." This particular entry is for Ball State University (hehe, balls). While some of the entries actually go into details about the school, this is pretty much a glorified advertisement for an upcoming movie called "My Name is Jerry" (which was filmed on the BSU campus. It's narrated by a guy who worked on the film, and he tells about how students benefited by working on it as well.

What we like about this Video

-It did look like they had a nice opportunity working on that film. Good for them.

-The film has a professional quality to it.

-Did the narrator really have a mustache? Isn't he in his early twenties? Awesome.

Maybe Next time.

-It wasn't funny at all. Boo.

-We didn't really learn anything about BSU at all, just about this upcoming movie.

-Just go for the full beard, man.
