Inside This Video

Another sketch from the group "Not Quite Ripe" at Syracuse University.  A guy wonders why girls don't like him, and is listing all the possibilities to his friend (a girl).  As he reveals some possible reasons, girls walk by and ignore him.  At the end, we find out it's just because he has a mullet.

What we like about this Video

-It's short and to the point.

-At least they got to a punch line.

Maybe Next time.

-The punch line just isn't very good.  I was expecting a lot more.

-Mullets were funny five years ago.  The joke has sort of died.

In this sketch from a group called "the imponderables" a parking meter dude is about to give out a ticket.  The owner of the car begs him not to.  They realize they are from the same fraternity and go into a two minute elaborate hand shake.  He is about to get off without a ticket, when the officer realizes that they changed the last part of the handshake.  He gives him the ticket and leaves.

What we like about this Video

-The hand shake is so elaborate and stupid.  Perfect.  It reminds me of a Will Ferrell/Cheri Oteri cheer from SNL.

-The shot from the inside of the restaurant when the cop is replaced by a dummy and is being thrown all around.

-Great dedication.  It must have taken a while to choreograph that.

Maybe Next time.

-The film quality is a little low.

-I know the hardest part about sketch comedy is coming up with an ending, but this one could be better.

This is an entry in a video contest called "Why my school rocks." This particular entry is for Ball State University (hehe, balls). While some of the entries actually go into details about the school, this is pretty much a glorified advertisement for an upcoming movie called "My Name is Jerry" (which was filmed on the BSU campus. It's narrated by a guy who worked on the film, and he tells about how students benefited by working on it as well.

What we like about this Video

-It did look like they had a nice opportunity working on that film. Good for them.

-The film has a professional quality to it.

-Did the narrator really have a mustache? Isn't he in his early twenties? Awesome.

Maybe Next time.

-It wasn't funny at all. Boo.

-We didn't really learn anything about BSU at all, just about this upcoming movie.

-Just go for the full beard, man.
