About Jacob
How My Friends describe Me
A rugged outdoorsman with a sense of adventure, Jacob has spent months at a time exploring the wilderness areas of Utah, Maine and Alaska. One of his life goals is to become a certified wilderness guide and help others discover America's great frontiers.
When he's not hiking or kayaking in some remote spot, Jake can be found swimming, biking or running near campus. A senior engineering major, he plans to join the U.S. Navy after graduation and "see the world" as an officer and a gentleman.
Spontaneity and impulsiveness are is two most visible qualities. "You never know what I'm going to do next," he said. "Sometimes, even I don't know."
One thing he is certain of - that he will one day live on a beach and own a very big boat. "I never want to stay inside for long," he said.
"Outdoors is definitely where I belong." Campus Men 2001 marks Jake's modeling debut. This small-town boy has definitely come a very long way!
"It was awkward until a thought about all the women who would see my photos and I asked myself, 'Why wouldn't I do this?'," Jacob said.
