Sexy Buckeye on Oprah
Brett Shaut, 24, an Ohio State University senior, will appear on Wednesday's installment of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The topic: "Sexy Men."
"Hey, I'm fully clothed," Shaut said of his moment of glory on Oprah, which airs at 4 p.m. on WBNS-TV (Channel 10).
Shaut, a Cincinnati native, was selected because he appeared as "Mr. January" in the 1992 edition of "Campus Men® ," the calendar with hunky OSU males.
Sean Ashbrook, calendar publisher, said Winfrey's staff called him to request an attractive man for the show.
Shaut traveled to Chicago on Jan. 21 for the taping. A psychology major with career plans in sales, Shaut has no desire to pursue modeling. The calendar gig was a lark, he said.
He found Winfrey impressive: "I liked her a lot. She's probably the most intelligent person I'll ever meet."
