The first step before preparing to step in front of the camera is to apply clear mascara to your eyelashes.

Adding a clear mascara to eyelashes and eyebrows thickens the hairs and helps the camera "see" them better. It is like putting hair gel on your eyelashes.

Guys use transparent mascara, unlike the colored mascara females wear. Max Factor is a brand of clear mascara sold at most local stores.

Mascara can carry bacteria if another model used it before you. To sterilize the mascara brush, you can rinse it with very hot water for a minute. However, it is best to purchase your own mascara and take it with you to any photo shoot you are part of.
