On-Location Modeling During Extremely Hot Weather

Looks can be deceiving. No, the model here, Eric, definitely looks attractive. What is deceiving is the setting for this photo.

It may seem like this photo is set on an exotic beach, but in reality the photo was created during stifling heat and under stressful working conditions.

Shot at Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys, the photographer miscalculated arrival time so the photo crew arrived at the worst time of day. It was very hot and the sun was directly overhead, which is usually too intense to pose under.

Eric was able to pose away from the intense sunlight because he is standing in the shadow of a palm tree that is blocking the sun.

Plus, the crew was cranky from being tired and dehydrated because they had to walk a long distance to reach this tree.

So, Eric here is a good actor - faking a pleasant expression in almost unbearable conditions. Who says modeling is glamorous!
