What is a Fan?
Fans are anyone who wants to support a Campus Man and who registers on his CampusMen.com page. Think of Fans as anyone who wants to support you, root you on, follow your activities or just thinks you are interesting or attractive. Fans are people you know on campus and people you have never have met on the Internet.
TIP: After a person becomes a "Fan" of a Campus Man, the Fan can invite others to also become his Fan, too.
Get More Fans!
Being a Campus Man is all about gathering "Fans," getting their support and building a following of supporters. Just like real celebrities, you can have a personal fan club on your campus. So, start promoting yourself by gathering Fans on your campus now. Its a great excuse to talk to girls.
You don't want to be a Campus Man who doesn't have any Fans. What does that say about ya?
How to "Get" someone to become your Fan? Ask them in person or email a link to your CampusMen.com page. Asking in person is always best. Go to them, show them your CampusMen.com page, and have them register right there in person!
Word of mouth: Verbally tell everyone you know to go to your CampusMen.com page and register as your Fan. Never stop promoting and telling people any time you can.
Steps to Gather Your First Fans
Sure, current site visitors will see you, but reaching out to encourage new people on your campus to register as your Fan more effective. Many people became successful by first building fame or success locally. The goal is to reach out to new people to encourage them to register as your Fan. Here are some tactics you can use to get Fans:
Your first step? Get your roommates to become your Fan today. That's 2 Fans
Next, ask your girlfriend to register. Then have her get her friends to become your Fan, too.
Your Email Address Book
Import your address book. The Campus Men system will send a message to everyone to invite them to become your Fan.
Invite People in Your Email Address Book to register as your Fan on CampusMen.com. After you register, you should import your Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or AOL address book to invite your friends to connect as your Fan. Just log into your account, and click "Invite People to Become Your Fan" from the menu. After you have invited your friends, you will begin to receive more and more Fans through word-of-mouth.
Each Campus Man can import his address books - to tell selected friends about how they can register as his "Fan" on CampusMen.com.
Next, send a message to all your friends on facebook with a link to your CampusMen.com page. Ask them to to support you by registering as your Fan on CampusMen.com.
Flier on Your Door
Finally, print out your street team flier and tape it to your dorm door. Let everyone know you are looking for support.
Other People's Parties
Your best chance to sign up a LOT of girls FAST is at parties.
Now, here's the trick. Make it easy on girls. When you are around girls face-to-face, have your laptop ready, with your CampusMen.com on the screen. If they say they will register later, people tend to forget. So, have girls register right away on your page and get it over with. All they need to do is type in their name, zip code, email address and choose a password. Its that simple. Once they click submit, they are your Fan!
Your Party
You and your roommates can hold a support [yourname] party. The $50 bucks you spend on a keg can result in a 100 Fans or more quickly. You or a roommate should stand at the door with a laptop and have girls register on your CampusMen.com page as they come into your party. Make sure you choose someone to "man" the door who is responsible and will not get drunk.
Girls' Dorms
Hit up the girls' dorms. Go door-to-door and ask them if they will register to be your Fan. It is a great excuse to talk to girls. Make sure you tell it takes only 30 seconds and costs no money. You are just looking for supporters on campus. Plus, girls love guys who have something going on!
By taking these steps, you will definitely have a base of 24 Fans by now. That's an awesome start.
Get HelpersFinally, you don't need to do all the promoting alone. Bands have a team of supporters who help them build a Fanbase. You can too. Gather a team of friends and hard-core supporters who will do the work for you. You become the team's leader. Your team includes you, your girlfriend, the fat girl who admires you, your lifting partners, even parents - anyone who wants to see you succeed! 20 of your friends on your page each tell 20 of their friends, and so on. Before long, word will spread to thousands of people! This builds up Fans faster! |
Remember, the more Fans you receive, the more overall exposure and word-of-mouth publicity you will receive.
Who knows where this will take you, but the results will happen because of your hard work in building your Fanbase from scratch.
What is a Bro?
A Bro is any Fan who is male. Not every male college student is able to get accepted as a Campus Man. Some buddies might support a Campus Man's effort but may not be interested in being famous themselves. So we call them "Bros."
Parents of a Campus Man
Parents can be tireless supporters of their sons - and supporters are what a Campus Man needs to build name recognition! We give parents a special designation among their son's list of Fans by allowing Campus Men to label them as a "Parent."
If a Campus Man's mom or dad registers to become his Fan, the Campus man can change their "type" to "Parent." Up to four of his Fans can be designated as Parents. Only a Campus Man can change a Fan's type to "Parent".
What is a VIP Fan?
VIP Fans are Fans who a Campus Man chooses to be "VIP Fans." It is possible for someone to be a Fan of one Campus Man and to be a VIP Fan of different Campus Man.
VIP Fans are able to view a Campus Man's private videos and private photos. Other Fans cannot. A Campus Man is permitted to make 10 percent of his Fans into VIP Fans.
Example:
- Dave has 30 Fans. Therefore, Dave is permitted to make 3 of his Fans into VIP Fans
- Todd has 500 Fans. Todd is permitted to change 50 Fans to VIP Fans
- Josh has 1120. Josh is permitted to change 112 Fans to VIP Fans
If you want more VIP Fans, invite more people to become your Fan.
Tip: Reward Fans who earn a lot of Popularity Points for you by making them into VIP Fans.
