Students Can Become Famous By Appearing in a Video
By Vicky Phipps, a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Fame is not reserved only for those with extraordinary skills. In other words, you don't have to be born with athletic ability or the brain power of a super computer. Sure, if you got that, use it. But, fame is also for those who are unique. Being different, original, or the first at something are all reasons people become famous. Sometimes just being yourself or looking good is worthy of fame.
Why do we desire fame? Fame has come to mean success in our society. Fame is a validation of one's achievements and recognition from the group that you are special, valuable and important.
Sociologists can offer many theories ranging from the influence of the multi-media modern world we live in to deep, dark, hidden insecurities hardwired into our brains at birth. Regardless of the reasons, the fact is that humans are social animals. We want and need to interact with others whether in a family unit, a social group or the wider family of all humanity.
The goal of achieving fame is a common and understandable desire many people have. So, how and where do you get fame?
Good fame
First, the fame we talk of here is the type your mother would be proud of. We are not addressing those who seek infamy or notoriety for doing bad things. It's easy to get 15 minutes of negative attention and the scorn of the entire world. So, serial killers, adulterers, and terrorists, please read no further. Go see a therapist or turn yourself into the authorities immediately. For those who are looking for advice on achieving fame for your positive achievements, read on.
Becoming famous is not hard in today's Internet world. The trick is finding that trait which will make you stand out from everyone else. It really isn't as hard you think. Just be yourself. Get out there and tell them with a video! Good luck and we can't wait to see you on CampusMen.com.
