Lorain College Student Becomes OSU Calendar Model
Lorain man, 23, an OSU 'Campus Man'
COLUMBUS - A Lorain man is among 12 students from The Ohio State University in the 2001 edition of the "Campus Men" calendar.
Chad Beldon, 23, a senior majoring in business marketing, is "Mr. June" in the calendar that has an athletic and collegiate theme and is distributed nationwide, according to-information provided by the Calendar Models of America. The June photograph depicts Beldon as a surfer wearing only 4 backpack and a strategically placed hat.
Beldon also appears seminude on the calendar's cover as a baseball player with a strategically placed mitt, said Sean Ashbrook, photographer, in a prepared statement,
Beldon appeared on the "Jenny Jones Show" since the calendar shoot and has been approached with job offers, including a photo shoot with Abercrombie and Fitch, according to Ashbrook.
Students are chosen for the calendar based on, interviews with Ashbrook, who looks for a "Pleasant Personality," "looks" and the ability to communicate during publicity events and media interviews.
Beldon graduated in 1995 from Lorain High School, where he played soccer. He is currently a member of the OSU Soccer Club.
John Wong, 19, of Westlake is "Mr. February" in the calendar land poses with a towel hanging loosely in front of him. He is a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering.
