Men's Facial Care Tips

For a man sometimes we tend to neglect taking care of our faces. There is a tendency to think "Who cares, I'm a guy." Men sometimes feel a lack of motivation to bother to really take care of their faces. Sometimes a guy might think "Well, I lift weights. That's enough." or "Facial care is for girls." That could not be any more further from the truth.

Facial Care for men is extremely important. I know in the other articles the proper abdominal routine and diet were addressed but let's face it, no girl is going to want to kiss you if you look like one of the Geico cavemen. It takes more than a chiseled waste and 18 inch arms to be considered legitimately attractive. The last thing you want to happen is for a girl to rub on your body, but turn away when you go to make a move, because of your dirty face.

It is absolutely never a good thing for a guy's self confidence when I girl cringes when you go to kiss her. That is why it is totally necessary to incorporate some kind of male facial care routine to help keep your skin looking clear and healthy.

Shaving

For guys who aspire to keep a cleanly shaved face, we are forced to deal with the monotonous task of shaving each and every morning. Too many guys rush through it or give a poor effort. Shaving is something that should be done carefully in its entirety. Many guys should use a shaving cream and razor that will give them a very close shave but also protect their skin at the same time. I find Nivea to be one of the best companies when it comes to shaving as it relates to men's skin care on the market. Their products contain the vitamin e and aloe to help protect and smooth skin as well as hydrate and moisturize. It is equally as important to make sure you are using an effective razor so 5 o'clock shadow doesn't become something you tend to expect come midday. Gillette razors work really well or if you prefer electric that's fine too but make sure it works because woman typically are not attracted to werewolves.

Acne

The biggest problem is often acne. Acne is the mother of all skin problems and it is just a horror if you are trying to score with the ladies. If you are a college guy, you most likely have past your acne potential stage but you never know what Mother Nature has in store for us. The best thing to play it safe so you can have that clear soft skin for the ladies is to incorporate an acne fighting soap into your skin care routine. You can use it once a day standing in front of the sink and the second time in the shower. There are many to choose from such Neutrogena, Clearasil, Oxy, and Clean and Clear. They all basically work the same so the choose is yours but if you want the confidence of a clear and smooth face so you can flirt with the cute waitress at the local pizzeria then one of these is strongly recommended.

Dry Skin

Among other skin problems, dry skin is definitely one to be aware of. Both genders are capable of getting dry skin and the best way to prevent dry skin from rearing its ugly head is too consistently use a facial moisturizing lotion such as Aveeno that also contains the vitamin e and aloe to help prevent dry skin on an everyday basis.

There are many tips and advice on how to take care of your face. However, the most common and consistent advice is to avoid the sun and moisturize your face.

Do Not Tan Your Face

Most importantly, do not tan your face. Add a sunsrcreen in the morning - even on winter days. When tanning in a tanning bed or outdoors, cover your face with a towel.

Apply Moisturizer Frequently

Most importantly, apply moisturizing lotion on you face regularly. Choose a lotion that is water or glycerine based, not alcohol based. You can choose a lotion by reading its ingredient on the back of the tube or bottle. The most prevalent ingredient is listed first.

Moisturizers Recommended by Campus Men

Campus Men recommends guys use Kiehls - Soothing and Nourishing Face Cream for Men and Anthony Logistics for Men Oil-free Facial Lotion SPF 15. (We recommend all the products in these two lines.)

If you do not wish to spend $25 for lotion, cheaper lotions available at most grocery stores are: LOreal Dermo-Expertise Futur-e Moisturizer SPF 15 or finally, Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion with SPF15

As you just found out looking good goes far beyond ab training or eating tuna and chicken breast every three hours. It requires a solid facial regimen that means shaving safely and effectively, proper skin nourishment through vitamin e and aloe rich moisturize and lastly taking strict precautions to prevent oil, dirt, and bacteria build up that lead to the destructive presence of acne.

Comment From a Reader

It's all good to talk about facial care, but i think you should tell men about the different skin types there are and how important it is to find a product that works for them. You should also speak about exfoliation like enzyme peels or face scrubs and how to effectively use them... Anti-aging creams can also never be used to early or eye creams... otherwise good story none the less. Marco
