Moving To Los Angeles
So you want to move to Los Angeles to become an actor?
Scott Vinci and John Frazier provide professional phone consultations to actors wanting to move to Los Angeles through a company called "Actors Advice."
Collectively, they offer almost 13 years of expertise. They call themselves "working actors working on it." Scott Vinci's and John Frazier's IMDB page lists some of their acting credits.
Scott & John say their consultations give actors heading to LA advice on the crucial things they need to do before leaving, and what they should do when they arrive.
They say that since Los Angeles is such a large place with a great deal of traffic on the roads, most people who want to move to LA don't know that the key is to know Los Angeles' neighborhoods.
A half hour consultation costs $50, and a more extensive consultation costs $85 for an hour session. Buyers pay for the service via credit card through Paypal.
When I arrived in Los Angeles, I wasted more than $1200 within the first 48 hours making the wrong choice on where to live. $85 would have been a great investment for me, because Scott & John say their consultation would have steered me away from poor housing choices.
They say actors should be prepared to spend some money. Scott arrived in Los Angeles from Chicago with $3000. John left Dallas with $8,000.
Each hour long consultation includes a booklet guide loaded with reference material and a list of photographers, acting classes, and which acting books that would benefit you the best. The booklet is only available to actors who purchase an hour long consultation.
Past actors who have received consultations tend to say the advice they received saved them tons of money in the long run. One valuable thing you will learn is a secret to lining up a day job before you even arrive in LA which is extremely useful.
Consultations are scheduled daily by appointment only. You can contact "Actor Advice" by calling 323-377-9528 or by e-mail at ![]()
