Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters (1984)
Director: Ivan Reitman
Cast: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis
Memorable Line: "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria."
This movie just goes to prove that even a mediocre story can be elevated by the talent involved. Ghostbusters is a movie that greatly benefits from the cast. Murray shines with his trademark sarcastic wit and the combination of Aykroyd and Ramis as nerdy scientist are a perfect compliment to Murray.
The movies follows the trio of scientist as they have been dabbling in the paranormal and occult and then they suddenly strike it rich starting a business de-ghosting New York City. Venkman (Murrray) weddles his way into a beautiful musician's (Weaver) life as he investigates a paranormal disturbance at her apartment only to discover that her place is the nexus for a malevolent spectral force. Much comedy ensues. The group's final opponent is truly inspired and is quite hilarious.
Murray is the power behind this cast, but all acquit themselves well. The direction is not too inventive, but carries the day.
Watching "Ghostbusters" is not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
